Human Resource Manager

POSITION SUMMARY:

Human Resource Manager will work in conjunction with the management teams to coordinate hourly staff recruitment and HR administration.  Responsible to support the team in determining hiring needs, selection and specific operational training requirements.  Responsible to oversee New Hire On-Boarding including new hire paperwork, working in conjunction with Site Training Manager to coordinate staff communication programs that contribute to staff moral and reinforce the Company’s mission statement. The Human Resource Manager is expected to maintain the quality and ethical standards set by AIKG while representing the Andretti brand. This Human Resource Manager role is considered a Generalist position working all facets of Human Resources.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Coordinate annual performance review distribution/collection and work with management team to ensure timely completion
  • Ensure benefit information is available and communicated to staff, as they become eligible.
  • Coordinate delivery of benefit change of status information to staff.
  • Develop staff recognition programs including staff activities, community relations and other programs as needed.
  • Responsible to audit contact sheets and provide feedback to General Manager.
  • Works with CFO and Managing Member on companywide wage and salary structure and pay policies
  • Develop programs to offer employee support and increase employee relations and retention.
  • Conduct new hire paperwork sessions.
  • Ensure standards of drug free workplace are upheld across the company.
  • Follow-up with department managers monthly regarding updated staff listing, i.e. terminations, full-time/part-time, etc.
  • Ensure procedures for I-9 approval and background checks are being properly followed.
  • Complete system entries for new hires and make on-going adjustments as needed.
  • Proper understanding of payroll processing.
  • Work with General Manger on all worker’s compensation policies, treatment and follow ups.
  • Conduct company and site specific job fairs both in house as well as local venues.
  • Participates in senior level, management and company staff meetings and attend other meetings and seminars.
  • Coach and train managers in their communication, feedback, recognition and interaction with the employees.
  • Reviews with General Manager recommendations for employment termination.
  • Assist with the collection of staff documentation, ensuring quality and fair treatment of staff members.
  • Perform quarterly management training seminars on any HR procedures needing review.
  • Ensure company guidelines, policies and procedures are clearly delivered to all members of the staff at all levels.
  • Coordinate communication, distribution and collection of staff surveys, as requested
  • Assist in distribution of staff communication pieces, as requested.
  • Work with Managing Member and CFO on company’s philanthropic and charitable giving efforts.
  • Obtain departmental information from managers to maintain staffing plan
  • Review applications, screen applicants and present qualified applicants to department managers with assistance of store Team Coordinators.
  • Coordinate employment advertising material, as needed with Director of Marketing.
  • Coordinate, participate and host mini-job fairs, as needed.
  • Works with local store Team Coordinators(recruiters) on all hiring, training and payroll related efforts.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Guest service and leadership experience is preferred. A Drug Test and Background Check is required prior to employment. The physical demands described are representative of those that must be met by an Andretti Team Member to successfully perform the essential functions of their job.   • Three years minimum Human Resource experience in the hospitality industry.
  • Human Resource Generalist skill set.
  • Willing to travel
  • Able to work nights, weekends and some holidays.
  • Comfortable and capable of managing multi location.
  • Ability to motivate and work with various levels of staff members and managers.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and delegate authority where appropriate.
  • Proven leadership and team skills.
  • Strong organizational and administrative skills.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively, both written and verbally.  
  • Computer skills, preferably Word and Power Point.
